Renata Paczkowska
Have you imagined what a satisfying and more relaxed life might look like?
In our work together, you’ll learn to recognise your emotions, what creates them and how the past affects your present. This will help you regain connection with your body and slow your racing mind. The aim of the therapy is a more fulfilling life and satisfying relationships with yourself and others.
I aim to gently guide my clients towards recognising their needs and finding ways to fulfil these needs. I advocate for self-compassion and support my clients in understanding their behavioural patterns, recognising personal boundaries, and becoming more assertive.
During therapy, we’ll focus on building your self-esteem and resilience while striving to establish coping strategies. Areas I can support my clients are trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, and stress. If feelings are too difficult to express in words, we can introduce creativity using various methods of expression.
What do I offer?
My approach is holistic and client-centred, which means that I follow my client’s needs and support them to reach a deeper understanding of themselves and the way they feel. Sessions are tailored to each individual’s needs. I offer in-the-room or online counselling sessions as well as walk and talk therapy, where sessions take place outdoors. At times gentle physical activity can help with releasing tension and inhibition.
Qualifications & Experience
My way to the therapy world started in 2012 when I began my path towards personal development. Through mindfulness and somatic work, I learned to recognise and connect with emotions in the body. My own individual therapy led me to begin my academic training.
I completed my FdA and BA courses in Integrative Counselling at the University of Worcester. I have a level 3 Certificate in Working in the Sexual Violence Sector provided by Rape Crisis.
I began my counselling work in 2018 with a sexual abuse charity. I am a registered member of the BACP, adhering to their Ethical Framework. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in Psychosexual Therapy; I am a trainee member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).
In the past, I had a brief experience as a counselling lecturer, teaching ethics and diversity. Currently, I support students on their counselling placements, overseeing the ethical side of their work experience.
I undertake regular training and supervision as part of my professional development.
